London based property developers First Urban Group have applied for planning permission for a site in Station View, off Walnut Tree Close, Guildford.
However their plans for a new business headquarters in Guildford could clash with proposals for a revamp to Guildford railway station.
The proposed development would consist of 112,000 square feet of office space, a roof terrace, parking and landscaping and courtyards. Consultation started on the plans in January and one letter of objection has been received from a neighbour. However, the proposals may impinge on the plans for the nearby station redevelopment.
The company’s representatives say they had been engaged in discussions with Guildford Borough Council for more than a year regarding the station site.
It is said that the development would refresh the "gateway" to Guildford, create hundreds of jobs and provide significant capital investment.
