Tax Accountant

£35,000 - £40,000 + Bonus OTE realistic £50,000

This is a new position for a fully Qualified Accountant to work within a tax department of an accountancy practice with a large client base. Responsible for Personal Tax and Corporation Tax for PAYE to self employed and individual tax payers.

Using Iris software and Excel you will be responsible for tax returns, tax rebate calculations, limited company administration, PAYE, CIS, sole trader accounts preparation and self assessment. You will also manage 3 other Tax Accountants and be responsible for systems development which will include online web tax returns in the future.

It is important that the Tax Accountant is fully qualified ( ACA / ACCA / CIMA, or practice certificate ), is competent in tax returns, self assessment, corporation tax calculations and can lead and develop members of the team in this area. (either has worked in accountancy practice or has worked freelance managing Ltd company or sole trader tax returns) and is Systems orientated, being able to lead the development of new online systems and fully competent with Iris software (including reporting).

The Tax Accountant will have strong communication skills, good presentation, be respected by peers and staff and be able to lead a team.
