Location: West Dean College, West Sussex
Salary: £12.24 per hour plus 12.07% holiday pay
Contract: Casual
Hours: Shifts vary between 08:00-20:00 / 08:00-14:00 / 14:00-20:00

The Role
We are seeking a friendly, welcoming, and professional Student Welcome Officer to join our team on a casual basis to cover busy periods and staff absences. You will be the first point of contact for students, tutors, and visitors, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting and registering students, tutors, and visitors, issuing keys and passes
• Answering enquiries via phone, email, and in person
• Handling payments for room bookings and exhibition sales
• Liaising with Housekeeping and other departments to coordinate services
• Booking taxis and arranging student transport from Chichester Train Station
• Assisting with safety procedures, including fire alarm activations and evacuations

What We’re Looking For:

• A friendly and professional approach with excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• The ability to remain calm in busy situations
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, education, or visitor attractions is desirable
