Job Purpose:

• Designing, developing, delivering and maintaining software solutions across the entire business in Java and J2EE technologies.
• Working on a wide range of projects such as Restful API design and development, Payment systems, CRM, and Stock Management to name a few as well as integration with third party APIs such as Hubspot and Twilio.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Solving problems through delivering impactful software.
• Identifying system improvements.
• Designing and developing of existing and new APIs.
• Liaising with a variety of stakeholders and clients to ensure the needs of the business and our customers are met.
• Standalone role, but working in a small IT/Tech team

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on experience in developing desktop application using Java 8 and Wildfly.
• Hands-on experience in Restful API design and developing Microservices using Java 8 and Dropwizard.
• Experience in database design and development.
• Experience of source code control systems such as Git.
• Strong communication skills.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Experience of Linux installation / system administration.
• Knowledge of design patterns, data structures, algorithms.
• Experience of Apache ANT and Maven

As knowledge is key in this role, a technical test will be issued to applicants who apply as part of the first stage of the selection process.
