An industry leading client, who has been at the forefront of their specialised sector for many years and leads through innovation, currently has a newly created opportunity for a commercially astute Management Accountant to join their finance team.

This is a really interesting company who work in a very project focused industry meaning the work is constantly evolving. They're presently building upon several years of healthy growth and expanding operations, meaning that new resources have to be added to the team. You'll report directly into the Group Financial Controller and have involvement at the senior / decision making level. Due to this the position would suit someone with confidence, charisma, and the ability to present financial information to a variety of stakeholders. You will be motivated in the workplace and enjoy guiding a business through meaningful reporting and analysis. You will very commercially minded and seek out process improvements and ways to truly add value within the team.

Role Overview:

• Monthly preparation of management accounts for review and distribution for all group companies
• Weekly cash flow reporting
• Review of and reporting on monthly project costs and incomes
• Review of and reporting on monthly overhead costs
• Calculation of monthly WIP for projects
• Review of all balance sheet accounts and provisions
• Co-ordination of formal quarterly forecasts with operating companies
• Updating management accounts with revised forecasts
• Assist with the year-end process completing audit schedules to support statutory accounts and tax computations
• Co-ordination of annual budgets
• Analysis of figures for external requirements
• Review of overheads and variance analysis against forecasts
• Development of forecasting tools
• Development of management reporting
• Maintenance of the chart of accounts for the Group
• Ad-hoc analysis as required

Candidate requirements:

• Minimum AAT or part-qualified. Qualified candidates also happily considered and salary adjusted accordingly.
• Experience producing management accounts and providing meaningful insight.
• Strong Excel skills to include pivot tables, lookups etc.
• A motivated team player who is driven by success.
