HCAS (+/- EDC)An exciting opportunity!Full Time, Job Share or Part-time consideredWe are at an exciting stage of our development as a leading General Hospital and specialist tertiary centre for Cancer. In 2009 we achieved Foundation Trust status and were the only South East Hospital to be awarded Excellent in our annual health check by the Care Quality Commission. The Trust has strong links with the University of Surrey and a Medical School. Pharmacy is a key Clinical Support Service within the Trust and has had significant investment in the past two years; we have a completely refurbished department that includes a robot and brand new aseptics suite and we have recently had a significant investment in staffing to enable our services to be aligned with the speciality Business Units (SBUs) within the Trust. The pharmacy department has been involved in national collaboratives in relation to medicines management and is involved in teaching and training multi-disciplinary groups both within and outside of the trust. The pharmacy team has also been heavily involved in the Trust's highly successful Patients 1st project.We are looking for forward thinking, dynamic pharmacist with strong clinical skills to join our team dedicated to putting patients 1st.The successful applicant would join a strong pharmacy dispensary team. Our staff are dedicated to patient care and the post holder's role as the specialist pharmacist in this area would be focused on clinical leadership and training within the dispensary. The post holder would be required to work closely with the pharmacy operations manager in leading and developing patient services overall. The post holder will also have clinical duties in a relevant specialty which will include contributing to SBU work.Candidates should hold a postgraduate qualification equivalent to that of a Certificate in Pharmacy Practice (or equivalent experience) and would be keen to pursue further postgraduate education. You should be a team player with the ability to introduce change and have a keen interest to actively participate in the training and development of others.
