About the Role

Orbis is a public sector organisation like no other: a partnership between Surrey and East Sussex County Councils and Brighton and Hove City Council, with expertise, passion, innovation, and customer-focus at the heart of what we do. Our aim is to be influential in the market, deliver professional procurement and commercial expertise, and support our partners –making a real difference to the services we provide our residents.

The public sector is changing rapidly, and good commercial insight is vital for our success.

Do you possess strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, a customer focus and the confidence to handle a range of stakeholders across a partnership?

Are you highly motivated, committed, creative, keen to learn, an excellent communicator and capable of working with minimal supervision? Are you looking to further your career in procurement in a forward thinking organisation?

If you answered 'yes' to all these questions, look no further than Orbis' Commercial Insight team.

Forming an integral part of the Procurement Service, the Commercial Insight team is well-established and provides stakeholders with insight around markets, suppliers and spend, plus support on special projects.

As a Commercial Insight Analyst, you will possess strong research skills and the ability to bring both qualitative and quantitative data together from multiple and diverse sources to identify options for delivering greater value from our procurement and commercial relationships. You will be able to deliver the quality and accuracy the customer needs within an agreed timeframe as part of a busy work-plan.

Procurement experience would be a distinct advantage, particularly around spend analysis and undertaking commercial research. The ability to handle multiple projects, recognise priorities and use initiative is essential, as is a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

This job is a role across the Orbis Partnership but based in Kingston. Candidates may be required to travel to other offices including Lewes, East Sussex and Brighton.

Please note that CV's will be reviewed on an on going basis and you will be contacted if successfully shortlisted
