Do you want to work in Social care but have little or no experience?
Or are you experienced in social care and looking for a change of client group?

Our client is a provider of care and support to 12 residents across 2 homes. They are looking to recruit permanent members of staff to train and work as support workers with service users who have a learning difficulty.

The homes residents are long established and very settled and this is due to the consistency of care and staff. The role of support worker involves supporting the day to day activities of the individuals to ensure they are able to enjoy full and active lives.

This means you will be supporting every aspect of their lives so you must be prepared to be able to provide some personal care although in this setting it is minimal.

If you consider yourself to be a caring, calm person who can show patient and understanding this may be the job for you. Each day in social care can be different with lots of opportunities to be out and about and active with service users and very different to a 9 to 5 job!

As people don't live 9 to 5 hours the job will be over a shift rota pattern including some early shifts (7-2.30) some late shifts 2-10pm and some nights. You will need to work one weekend in three.

If you think you have what it takes then get in touch and you can benefit from an hourly rate is £7.60 per hour with 22 days holiday plus bank holidays and a benefits package. Free DBS, training to NVQ standard.
